Dyslexia Vancouver

The Davis theories and procedures were developed through trial and error by Ron Davis, himself a dyslexic, not to explain the nature of the problem, but to discover how it could be corrected.

The Solution

The Davis methods show the individual how to use the gift to resolve existing confusion and fill in the blanks. They are provided with a mental 'on/off' switch to enable them to perceive accurately, making it easier to focus attention on written material.

Clay is used as a 3D medium to make models of the basic symbols of reading and writing. For the dyslexic, the creative process is essential to understanding and learning.

This hands on approach is suited to both children and adults who experience difficulties in areas such as:

  • reading
  • handwriting
  • comprehension
  • self awareness
  • balance & co-ordinatio
  • sequencing
  • spelling
  • mathematics
  • attention issues
  • adhd & add
  • time management
  • stress management

The Gains

The individual acquires tools, skills, and firm foundations, giving them control of their learning environment.

Their sense of self esteem is restored, knowing that they can overcome their challenges, allowing them to progress in the mainstream worlds of education and employment.
