Sue Jutson, Dyslexia Facilitator

Having facilitated hundreds of programs over her 20 year career, Sue has an extensive wealth of knowledge and experience in the application and use of the Davis® Method.

A dyslexic herself, she has an intimate and compassionate understanding of the difficulties as well as the gifts that come with the neurodiverse thinking styles of Dyslexia and attention ‘deficit’ disorders.

“I was introduced to the Davis® approach while living in Australia in late 1990’s.

A friend had discovered Ron Davis on her journey to help her youngest son with his learning difficulties that the school system was unable to deal with.

The positive effect the Davis program immediately had on her son led me to read the 'Gift of Dyslexia' by Ron Davis.

Much in the book resonated with me, particularly in relation to my son who was now experiencing his own learning challenges. He was frustrated and losing confidence!

Sadly, the school he was attending didn’t understand him, nor were they equipped to help him.

After hearing Ron Davis speak for the first time I was instantly inspired by his positive reframing of Dyslexia. His solution was simple, logical, and an encouraging alternative from the mainstream approach.

As I learned more, I recognized integrity, non-judgment, and self responsibility and regulation are just some of the principles that sit at the foundation of the Davis Programs. I embrace these traits and understand the power in an individual owning the learning and the growth that develops.

I am passionate about providing dyslexics, other neurodiverse individuals, and their families with the understanding of how their learning style works. Giving the tools they need to reach their full potential at school, at work and in all other areas of their lives is simply life changing. I look forward to working with you!”
